Every piece is made with the movement of music flowing through me. A mix of genres, emotions, and vibes. You are welcome to experience some of that if you'd like. I have shared a custom playlist and a survey of some of the music used in these acts of creation. If playlist doesn't appear due to browser settings, find it here.
The Playlist: Work heavily influenced by music, sound, in space

Beginning my oil adventures, listening to Kendricks Lamar GNX, working to find peace and acceptance with a dangerous regime now taking hold of the United States.

A funked out turntable, influenced by the sounds of J Dilla.
Part of a growing "Dilla Series" dedicated to the late Hip-Hop producer J Dilla. Using bold colors, space, and geometry, to the beat of Dilla's Jazz, Soul, Funk, and R&B influenced beats.

Shapes, shading, and angles, holding a donut, as the loops play.

Influenced by a Dilla and Sade inspired playlist, smooth with movement, and depth. Edges that move with the beat breaks, into fluid eggs.

The shading moves, pulls you in, or jumps out, as Dilla's beats move with your soul.

Influenced by Andre 3000s, New Blue Sun and the sounds of J Dilla, spaced out movements and space.

Influenced by the sounds of Jazz great Kamasi Washington and the legendary Hip-Hop producer 9th Wonder. Spiritual, earthy, and cosmic, mixed with the vibrant.

Created with a playlist, heavy on Hip-Hop producers The Alchemist and the late MF Doom. Using liminal space, edge, soul, shading, and intellectuality from their sound, and bringing it into physical space.

After a wrecked piece, listening to 70s and 80s dance hall, disco, Soul, and R&B, I started over. Representing the movement, and vibrance of those movements, sounds, and life. We start over everyday to live again.

Inspired by the sounds of jazz legend Pharoah Sanders, and his track and album Thembi, meaning hope.

The second attempt to create this piece, now successful. Created with the sounds of Andre 3000 New Blue Sun, of geometry and liminal space, and pulling further inspiration from the Hip-Hop group, The Roots and their track Seed 2.0. Root yourself, and grow.

Inspired by the long, deep, and spirtual sounds of Alice Coltrane.

Still Tippin', like UGK

Created through the sounds of Dvořák, fluid in motion.
The Ethereal: Work of existence

If anything is a portrait it is this. Intensity, spiritual, cosmic, yet grounded and my roots

Forgiveness of yourself, leads to forgiveness from the divine

A mental journey through the jungle, only to come across a subtly human shaped celestial, made from the trees and wood, to be a reflection of our own existence.

The connective tissue of all creation, is in union, and reunions. No act of creation is independent; even seemingly solo acts, are reliant on something else— a solo saxophone player, builds of the sound before them, relies on the maker of the saxophone, and reeds, and more. Unions in all creation.

Inspired by flowing jazz, during a stretch of relationships that were all "maybes."

Ethereal in our existence, space as our home, we are blessed to have the ability to mend ourselves; to live, we must accept this blessing from the eternal.

Growth often comes from tiny moments

From the memories, of cool nights on the mountain side of St.Thomas, with the ocean breeze, and motherly moon.

A dedication to the God(s) of morning, light, and life. Bursting life into existence.

40x40, acrylic on wood.
Part of "A New Blue Sun Produced" series, totaling 8 pieces. This piece is the pull of the light, of the best of ourselves, of the universe, and God within us. We can carry it, and leave a trail of it behind us for others to follow, as long as your lead by light and love.

40x40, acrylic, mixed medium, on canvas.
Part of "A New Blue Sun Produced" series, totaling 8 pieces. This one, The Seal, protects the nature and secrets of the universe and existence, can you unlock it?

Will you see the tunnel of the unknown and embrace its journey?

Part of "A New Blue Sun Produced" series, totaling 8 pieces. Letting go of ego, perceptions, and attachment, we can ascend to the best of humanity

". . . a stone, a leaf, an unfound door; a stone, a leaf, a door. And of all the forgotten faces.
Naked and alone we came into exile. In her dark womb we did not know our mother's face; from the prison of her flesh have we come into the unspeakable and incommunicable prison of this earth.
Which of us has known his brother? Which of us has looked into his father's heart? Which of us has not remained forever prison-pent? Which of us is not forever a stranger and alone?
O waste of lost, in the hot mazes, lost, among bright stars on this weary, unbright cinder, lost! Remembering speechlessly we seek the great forgotten language, the lost lane-end into heaven, a stone, a leaf, an unfound door. Where? When?
O lost, and by the wind grieved, ghost, come back again."- Thomas Wolfe, Look Homeward, Angel

Sometimes, things in life will be left unfinished. We need to be okay with that.
